New for 2013, Zildjian has revamped and remodeled their classic A. Zildjian series. The A’s really are a timeless set of cymbals that have been played by everyone from Buddy Rich to Dave Grohl. This sudden tune-up is due to the numerous requests Zildjian received from players and fans alike, asking for an A. Zildjian that was reminiscent of those classic cymbals from the 60’s and 70’s while still having a modern finish and versatility that would make it applicable to all styles of music. Luckily for us, not only did Zildjian respond to our requests, but far exceeded our expectations with these beautiful new cymbals.The Heavy Crashes offer a raw power that is hard to match. These cymbals are sharp, and penetrating while still having a rich musicality to them that is distinctly Zildjian. Not only do they sound great, but they’re surprisingly easy on the hands as well. These cymbals have a smooth feel with a great rebound that’s typically not found in heavier cymbals.
